“Best small-scale pension we ever visited”
Roomy full equipped accommodation. Quiet location. Great breakfast.
Huge selection of wines. Resonable price.
One day, a three-year-old little boy and his mother finished their dinner. While they were laeving the restaurant, the little boy told his ther: “When I grow up, I want to be Uncle Gyula!” That is the greatest praise I could get.
We arrived early and on a quiet Tuesday evening so had a lot of personal attention by Mr. Bausz, owner and manager of the place, and apparently known as a expert of the better Hungarian wines. He outdid himself by proudly offering additional alternatives, even from some of his top bottles from the famous Apatsagi (Abbey) in Pannonhalma, and a surprising Cabernet Franc by Szekszard.
We found Vadaszkurt Panzio by driving around the area and loved this place.
Thisis also the location for a first class restaurant, while the rooms are upstairs.
Ask the owner about Hungarian wines – he is an expert and will have many
